Hi, my name is Maya and I am a Business Travel Counsellor based on the West Coast (Matzikama District). I have lived here for 3 years and enjoy living at the beach and the beautiful nature that surrounds us.

I have worked in the travel industry for 32 years, both as a corporate and as a leisure travel consultant. I have also worked for 2 years as an in-house corporate consultant for BP in Cape Town. I have many business clients who also book their family holidays with me when they take that well-deserved break!

I have dealt with conference bookings in South Africa for overseas clients from Greece and also a few last-minute “nail-biting” visa requests and bookings. Coming from a German background and also dealing with many German clients, I know how important attention to detail is. I will always go the extra mile to ensure my clients have a stress-free, seamless trip.

I have had the opportunity to travel to many countries and regions, including the UK, USA, Western Europe, Far East, New Zealand, Namibia and also through South Africa. I have also dealt with many clients (leisure and corporate) visiting South Africa, and I have had the pleasure of arranging their trips here as well.

Travel Counsellors are a member of IATA and ASATA, and we currently carry a level 3 BEE accreditation. Apart from being trained on Galileo and other booking systems, and having completed many travel courses, I have also been trained extensively on the Travel Counsellors intranet and on their dynamic packaging system called Phenix. This system allows me to tailor-make travel arrangements around the world, at very competitive prices.

Travel Counsellors operates in 6 countries around the world, and I have access to more than 2200 colleagues who can very easily give me a hotel recommendation, "local" advice that can make all the difference to your booking.

Becoming a Business Travel Counsellor, I now have more time to spend with clients and their bookings, as all my administration and ticketing is taken care of by my head office. As I work from home, it's easier for my clients to reach me in emergencies.
