Hello!

My name is Helen and I have lived in the tranquil suburb of Kloof in Kwazulu-Natal for the past 14 years after spending 3 years working in London in the retail travel industry. I've loved being back in South Africa and so pleased to have the opportunity of running my own business through Travel Counsellors.

It has now been 12 years and there are no regrets.

I decided on a career within the travel industry 25 years ago because I enjoy people and I love to travel. My passion for travel has grown as I have worked for various airlines, tour operators and retail agencies. This has provided me with invaluable experience in handling varied and extensive travel arrangements.

My clients have been varied. I have serviced many influential people for both their business and personal travel often with last minute arrangements and extremely detailed itineraries.

I am BEE accredited and I have access to cutting edge technology which helps me to get you what you need, when you need it. A recent example was when our Phenix system (exclusive to Travel Counsellors) allowed me to book a client’s car hire in Los Angeles whilst he stood at the car rental company’s desk. My price was a third of the price he was quoted and this was all done at 10pm in the evening here in SA!

I am able to call on over 1,900 colleagues worldwide for their assistance through our internal communications system which helps me to supply you with the best advice.

My services includes booking flights in all classes, airport lounge passes, car hire, accommodation, point-to-point transfers, arranging personal delivery of foreign currency, travel insurance and visas. In fact, anything you need for your business travel!

Helping you arrange seamless and hassle free business travel is what makes my job fulfilling and interesting and I’d love the opportunity to assist you with this. I pride myself on offering an exceptional level of personal service and attention to detail. Working from home puts me in the unique position of being able to meet you wherever and whenever it suits you. I am also not limited by standard office hours.

Peace of mind is important when travelling and you will get this with me. I am able to offer a unique Travel Counsellors Trust protecting you if our suppliers (airlines or tour operators) get into financial difficulty. We are the only company in South Africa to provide this.
