My name is Allyson, and I'm based in Edenvale, but I do bookings for clients all over the country.

Except for 3 years when I lived in Knysna, I have lived in and around the East Rand my whole life. I really like it here as it is quite central, and the people are so friendly and accepting. I am married with two grown daughters, and have four grandchildren!

I have been in the travel industry for 44 years, and although I have been involved with many types of travel, my main focus over the past 20 years has been corporate travel. I have worked for the two largest travel management companies in South Africa, American Express and Carlsonwagonlit), and have many years of experience in dealing with big corporate companies. Over the past five years I managed a team of 12 staff members, working on large corporate accounts. Some of these include Massmart, Super Group, FNB, JD Group, Hannover Re and General Electric. I also handled some large Global corporate accounts like Monsanto, Voith Turbo, ARC International, Phillips SA, Bristol Myers Squibb and Royal Bank of Scotland.

I have done bookings for trade fairs, been involved with booking groups and conferences, I have done bookings for prize winners and I have organised and accompanied incentive groups.

When it comes to corporate travel, there is not much that I haven’t experienced, and I have at times had to work a miracle or two, from arranging visas at the last minute, to helping stranded passengers get home – who could forget the infamous ash cloud?!

I think that with my expertise gained over the years, combined with Travel Counsellors phenomenal back up service, we will be a dynamic duo. They give me the support and back up, leaving me to concentrate 100% on my clients needs, and doing what I love, which is making your travel arrangements.
