Travel Counsellors go beyond business at annual Corporate Conference

Travel Counsellors go beyond business at annual Corporate Conference

On Saturday 22nd March, we hosted our annual Corporate Conference at the Vox Hotel in Birmingham. The event brought together our independent business owners who are corporate travel specialists, members of our expert support team, and some of our valued supplier partners for a day of exciting updates and inspirational talks.

The day included sessions from external speakers, including the first-ever female RAF jet pilot, Mandy Hickson, time management coach, Steve Watson, and branding expert, Alex Hunter.

Our headline sponsors, Travelport, Bedsonline, and JetBlue took to the stage to update our Travel Counsellors on their latest offerings for corporate clients.

We also heard from our Chief Technology Officer, Jon Bauer, who shared how we’re harnessing the power of AI to empower our Travel Counsellors to go beyond for our corporate clients and further enhance the levels of service that we offer.

Steve Byrne, our CEO said: “We don’t want to have any relationships where it’s just about the transaction. We are here to provide that personal, high-touch service. A great example is with the Heathrow closure last Friday. Our Travel Counsellors were up at 4am to rebook flights before their customers even knew about the airport being closed. They weren’t waiting to go into a call centre on a roster, and they weren’t doing it because there was a roster. They were doing it because they’re running their own business and they feel an even deeper sense of accountability and requirement to look after their customers. It’s their business. They want that customer to come back to them.”
