I’m Rachel and I am a Business Travel Counsellor based in Heaton Mersey, Greater Manchester. I have worked in the Travel Industry for 17 years. I started working in retail travel, moved to an airfare specialist department, then on to corporate business and most recently have been the travel manager for a FTSE100 business.

Having worked as both a travel supplier and buyer gives me a unique understanding from both sides of the corporate travel sphere. I understand that each client is unique with different requirements and priorities- whether that is from MI reporting needs, sustainability targets, fast SLA or simply having an expert at the end of the phone- I can tailor my offering to suits your needs. I also understand the pain points from a travel buyer perspective and will endeavour to alleviate your specific pains.

I have supported a range of clients over the years- large retailers, consultancy firms, event management companies, individual entrepreneurs- so am experienced in dealing with the requirements from a vast range of industries. Predominantly working from home enables me to be completely flexible around my clients’ needs- we all know travel doesn’t fit in to traditional 9-5 and the Travel Counsellors model allows me to be there for my clients as and when they need me.

Finally a bit about me personally - I have been in travel since I returned from the traditional ‘round the world gap year’ in 2006, I have visited destinations all over the world with Thailand, Barbados and South Africa being 3 of my favourites. I like to keep active- normally running along the river or training at the gym. I have 2 children who are both football mad so you will often find me at the side-lines come rain or shine (and it normally rains in Manchester!) I am a social person and enjoy meeting friends and family for meals, walks and good chats.
