My name is David Howarth, and I have recently joined Travel Counsellors as an independent Business Travel Consultant.
Originally from London, I moved to Bristol in 1984, and have been happily based here ever since.

I have worked in business travel solely since 1979, and have seen many changes in the industry over the years, however the main factor which has been my overriding objective in this job is customer service. Over the years of continual change one of the negative elements in many industries including business travel, has been the birth of the call centre, which I and many others believe has had a detrimental influence on customer service, resulting in the erosion of attention to detail.

Despite many intricate websites and online tools in the travel sector, organising business travel can be more complicated and time consuming than ever before.

I believe there are still logistical and financial benefits to be gained from using the services of a business travel professional, and with a creative approach to sourcing the best travel solutions, accompanied by attention to detail, the benefits will speak for themselves.
